Be Aware! OH&S Changes Impact HR: Free Breakfast Session

The first Occupational Health & Safety update in 40 years comes into effect June 1, 2018 and the changes will impact your Human Resources policies and practices. Have you prepared your organization, your managers and H&S representatives for the changes?

Bill 30 will come into effect June 1, 2018 and is aimed at improving the Rights of Workers; specifically the Right to Know, the Right to Participate and the Right to Refuse Dangerous Work. These OH&S changes will require organizations to develop or update their HR policies, as well as implement and train managers, Health & Safety Reps and employees on new practices and processes.  Employers will need to demonstrate a higher level of diligence in educating and informing employees on health and safety related matters.

Join Salopek & Associates for a free 1 hour Breakfast Session where we will discuss how these changes will affect your business and how a plan to proactively manage the changes will benefit your business and your employees. This session will focus on OH&S legislated changes that impact your HR People Policies and Practices.

Plan to attend the Breakfast Session to better understand:

  • What is required to be prepared for the legislated changes
  • Training that will be required to prepare your managers and H&S reps for new responsibilities
  • Changes you will want to make to HR policies and procedures
  • Practices you will need to implement to ensure employees’ rights are protected
