Who is Salopek & Associates?

Salopek & Associates is an award-winning team of business and human resource consultants specializing in strategy, human resources and board governance. We are a diverse team who are passionate about the work we do and how we do it.  We are not your “typical HR” and consider ourselves trailblazers who break down old paradigms to find solutions that fit for you. Salopek strongly believes that one size does not fit all!  Our approach is to customize best and emerging practices to find the right solutions that works for your organization.  Your business is unique and so are the HR solutions that mold and shape your culture.

Serving hundreds of clients across Canada in various industries, with HR Consultants in Calgary, Ottawa, Edmonton, Toronto and Vancouver, we are available to help you attract, retain and develop the right people and to put effective processes in place that will grow your business.

Each Consultant on the Salopek & Associates’ team is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), which is a level of assurance, skill and service we are proud to extend to our clients. Our Senior Consultants each have more than 16 years of experience and our Senior Specialists have advanced human resource and business designations in addition to extensive HR experience across a variety of industries. Salopek & Associates understands the importance of attracting, retaining and developing good people. Our consulting team is on-call 24/7 and available when you need us. Message from the Founder- Janet Salopek

I am proud to introduce you to Salopek & Associates, a company that was born in January of 2006 out of a vision for providing support in Human Resources, Strategy and Board Governance to organizations wanting to partner with strong HR professionals who understood business. I am the founder of Salopek, however, it has grown over the years as a result of the hard work of family members and the excellent work of consultants who have joined our team. Committed to our values of building strong relationships, working with the highest standards of integrity, and demonstrating expert knowledge and skill in the areas that we work, Salopek now consists of a team of consultants working across Canada with a physical presence in Calgary, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver and Fort McMurray.

We are a family business. In early days my daughters Amanda and Vanessa, both students at the Haskayne School of business at the time, helped me design our first logo and launch our first web-site. Amanda then joined our company in 2012 and brought with her a marketing and business expertise that elevated our company from a small local organization to a company that was nationally recognized for the work we do. Business needs changed in 2016 and John, my husband, joined as our Business Manager which allowed me to focus on Consulting Services while he looked after all other aspects of the business. Our business evolved again in early 2018 when Vanessa, my youngest daughter, joined the team to lead the marketing division. I feel so fortunate to be able to work and do business with my family!

We are proud of our team and the consultants who service our clients. Many of our consultants have journeyed with the family as we grew the business and have established long term relationships with Salopek and the clients we service. Salopek & Associates has matured and is no longer my baby but rather a team that is recognized for the great work that they do. I am proud to be the Founder of such an awesome group of people and forever grateful to those clients who choose to engage us as their HR and Business Partner.
